Fleet Maintenance Coordinator

Beacon Recycling Inc

Job Description

Job Description

You are the person who keeps things from falling through the cracks. You thrive on organization, planning, and making sure every detail is accounted for. You enjoy building systems, tracking progress, and coordinating multiple moving pieces at once. When others see chaos, you see a process that needs structure. You ask questions, follow up, maintain accurate records, and take pride in knowing exactly where things stand. If you're the type of person who enjoys coordinating people, equipment, vendors, and schedules while keeping everything organized and moving forward, this role will fit you well.

As Fleet Maintenance Coordinator at Beacon Recycling, you'll serve as the central hub of our fleet maintenance operation. You'll coordinate preventative maintenance schedules, manage repair work orders, procure parts, communicate with drivers and mechanics, coordinate with outside vendors, and maintain the records that keep our fleet operating safely and efficiently. Every day you'll balance competing priorities, track equipment status, monitor maintenance costs, and ensure repairs are completed properly and on schedule. Success in this role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, communication, and the ability to keep multiple projects moving simultaneously.

At Beacon Recycling, we understand that reliable equipment is critical to our success. Our operations in Muskegon, Traverse City, and Grand Rapids depend on trucks and equipment that are maintained properly, repaired quickly, and managed efficiently. We value employees who take ownership of their responsibilities, communicate effectively, and understand that small details can have a significant impact on uptime, safety, and customer service. We maintain a collaborative, team-oriented environment where mechanics, drivers, managers, and support staff work together toward common goals.

If you're someone who enjoys coordinating complex operations, building relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders, and creating order from moving parts, we'd like to hear from you.
