Key Highlights Weekly pay: 1,752–1,824 per week Guaranteed hours: 36 per week Contract duration: 13 weeks minimum Schedule: 8-hour shifts, Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m., with on‑call duties Start date: 06/22/2026 Setting: Hospital travel assignment in Decorah, IA Responsibilities Prepare sterile fields and equipment setup for General Surgery, Orthopedics, ENT, OB/GYN, Podiatry, Urology, and Dental cases Maintain aseptic technique, pass instruments, and assist the surgical team during procedures Perform sponge and instrument counts, handle specimens, and ensure proper instrument turnover Assist with draping, positioning, and equipment as needed; support patient safety and comfort Collaborate with perioperative staff to troubleshoot case needs and manage supplies Participate in on‑call coverage within the required radius and adhere to holiday call rotations Requirements Education: Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program Certification: Surgical Technologist Certification preferred Licensure/Training: State of Iowa Mandatory Reporter training Certification: American Heart Association BLS required Experience: Experience in General Surgery, Orthopedics, ENT, OB-GYN, Podiatry, Urology, and Dental procedures Availability: Ability to work in a hospital setting and meet on‑call requirements within 30 minutes of the assignment location Benefits and Support Assignment support from Healthforce Healthcare LLC 24/7 recruiter and travel support Credentialing assistance to facilitate start Dedicated assignment coordination and on‑call support Pay Disclaimer Please note: Pay rates and guaranteed hours are estimates and may vary.
