Registered Nurse (RN) Burn Intensive Care Unit (BICU)
If you are passionate about providing life-saving care to critically injured patients, join us as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Burn Intensive Care Unit (BICU). In this role, you will deliver specialized care to patients recovering from severe burns or trauma events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess patients' conditions upon admission and develop individualized care plans tailored to their recovery needs.
- Administer medications, fluids, and treatments as prescribed by physicians while closely monitoring patient responses.
- Perform wound care management, including dressing changes and infection prevention protocols for burn injuries.
- Operate advanced medical equipment such as ventilators or infusion pumps to support patient recovery.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive burn care, including surgical interventions or rehabilitation planning.
- Educate patients' families on treatment plans and offer emotional support during challenging situations.
Work Environment:
- The role is based in hospital BICUs where RNs work closely with critically injured burn patients requiring intensive monitoring and support.
- This position demands quick decision-making skills and composure under pressure in a fast-paced healthcare setting focused on critical care.
