Facility And Equipment Maintenance SpecialistPerforms tasks related to the overall management and operations of facilities, including energy management, material inventory, maintenance and construction. May oversee the repair, replacement or redesign of facilities, and preventive maintenance planning and scheduling. Implements the timely completion of requirements in compliance with Company programs, objectives and within established cost parameters. May monitor work performed by vendors and/or subcontractors; determines adequacy of work relative to job specifications/scope, and recommends corrective actions as required.Regularly inspect, clean, and repair specialized SAR equipment, including ropes, harnesses, radios, personal protective equipment (PPE), and medical kits to meet safety standards. Perform preventative maintenance on vehicles, trailers, ATVs, boats, or snowmobiles, such as checking fluids, tire pressure, and ensuring emergency lighting is functional. Maintain the SAR station or facility, including cleaning, lighting, heating/HVAC systems, and general repairs to ensure a safe working environment. Track and order necessary supplies, parts, and safety gear, ensuring replacements are on hand to prevent downtime. Ensure all gear and facilities comply with safety regulations, such as checking fire alarms, emergency exits, and proper hazardous material storage. Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of maintenance activities, repairs, and safety checks on all equipment and vehicles. Ensure all critical equipment is loaded or ready for deployment immediately upon request.Proficiency in using tools for basic electrical, plumbing, and mechanical repairs. Ability to lift heavy rescue gear (often over 50 lbs), climb ladders, and work in various environmental conditions.
