Job Summary:
The Security Architect - Consultant is responsible for leading the development of cloud security architecture, privacy, and compliance strategies, primarily focused on Microsoft Azure. This role supports the migration of on-premises applications and services to cloud environments, mentors architects and engineering staff, and stays current with technical advancements in cloud platforms. The position is a 12-month remote contract based in the United States, with the possibility of extension. Responsibilities:
- Develop and lead architecture and technical discussions related to cloud security, privacy, and compliance.
- Support migration of on-premises applications and services to Microsoft Azure cloud platform.
- Mentor architects and engineering staff to enhance cloud security practices.
- Stay updated on technical developments related to Microsoft Azure and other cloud platforms.
- Expertise in Microsoft Cloud Platform including security, firewalls, key vault, service bus, ASR, networking, OMS, blob storage, resource groups, NSG, application insights, SQL Server and SQL DB, load-balancers.
- Experience with AWS Cloud Platform, including architectural knowledge, administration, resource allocation, security, and network connectivity.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience (5+ years).
- Microsoft Azure certifications:
- Azure Administrator
- Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate
- Identity and Access Administrator Associate
- Security Operations Analyst
- Security Administrator
- Experience with migration from on-premises to cloud solutions.
- Operational hybrid cloud experience.
- Must pass a 7-year standard background check and credit history check.
- Must comply with confidentiality and IT use agreements.
- Candidate must reside in the United States.
- Temporary worker agreement applies.
- Full-time, 40 hours per week.
- Remote work location.
- Contract duration: 12 months with possibility of extension.
