We’re constantly innovating to raise the bar of engine and game development.PRODUCTIONWhat We DoWhether it’s driving a vision from start to finish or collaborating with teams to inspire and deliver projects of Epic quality, Epic’s production teams take pride in consistently delivering world-class products and experiences.What You'll DoEpic Games is looking for a quality-focused Senior Release Manager to work closely with our producers, programmers, build engineers, and QA teams to oversee the build and release process for the Fortnite Ecosystem. In this position, you will work directly with the brightest technical minds in the business as we build the premier game engine for a multitude of platforms.In this role, you willDeveloping new practices and structures to better scale release management and stabilization processes across our Game Dev ecosystem, while managing a sub-team of release managersOwning the scheduling, coordination, quality control, and external certification process across multiple platforms and/or productsActing as the liaison between multiple development teams, coordinating and negotiating development plans, exceptions, sales/mktg/publishing content, as well as releasesWorking with the publishing and development teams to determine release content plans as related to sales, giveaways, promotions, etc., and shepherding that content through external party approvals for releaseWorking closely with QA, Build Engineers, and Lead Programmers to monitor the automated build and integration process, facilitate the resolution of build failures, and understand and communicate the impact of branches and code mergesPartnering with QA Leads to establish and maintain the bug triage process and prioritize must-fix issues, coordinating internal and external release notes, known issues, and knowledge base updates, and ensuring releases have passed all required checks and approvals leading up to live deployment, while communicating approved exceptions to all necessary partiesWhat we're looking forStrong production/project management skills, communication skills, and people management/direct report experienceDemonstrated ability in right-sized process development and improvementExperience with build and release processes for Software or Games as a Service productFamiliar with Perforce, Jira, Grafana, AirTableExposure to platform certification processesTechnical orientation and a strong understanding of software developmentKnowledge of the game development process and exposure to working with shipped and live titlesEPIC JOB + EPIC BENEFITS = EPIC LIFEOur intent is to cover all things that are medically necessary and improve the quality of life.
