Research and Development Technician

We are looking for an R&D Technician to join our Santa Rosa, CA facility. This role is essential for bridging the gap between engineering and production, focusing on order management, workflow creation, CAD design, metrology, and process optimization to ensure high-quality manufacturing outcomes. Compensation and Details Compensation: $35 per hour. Location: Onsite at our Santa Rosa, CA 95403 facility. Benefits: Includes medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, along with a retirement savings plan and paid sick leave. Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week for a 24-month duration. Core Responsibilities Oversee and organize custom manufacturing requests to ensure delivery timelines are met and production requirements are clearly communicated. Create 2D and 3D photomask designs using CAD software while adhering to technical engineering standards. Improve measurement accuracy by optimizing metrology routines and providing data-driven feedback to engineering to enhance product manufacturability. Help maintain high operational standards by training staff and resolving equipment or process challenges on the production floor. Drive process excellence by utilizing statistical analysis and documentation to implement industry best practices. Required Qualifications An Associate degree, technical certification, or a comparable level of hands‑on technical experience. Background working within technical sectors such as semiconductor, PCB, or photochemical machining environments. Skilled in using Siemens NX CAD software for the development and adjustment of technical layouts. Familiarity with GD&T standards and fundamental metrology concepts. Hands‑on experience operating vision and measurement tools like OGP, Zygo, Keyence, or Nikon systems. Competence in applying manufacturing statistics and SPC to improve production outcomes. Knowledge of basic chemistry and process control fundamentals within a manufacturing setting. Capacity to analyze measurement results to offer valuable insights for process improvements.
