Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients spanning pediatric to geriatric groups using both standardized assessments and hands-on observational methods.
• Create customized treatment plans tailored to meet both immediate objectives and long-term communication or swallowing needs.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy focused on communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallow functionality.
• Engage in collaborative care with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to ensure comprehensive treatment strategies.
• Provide educational resources to patients and their families to reinforce progress outside of therapy sessions.
• Assist with inpatient evaluations and therapy sessions as necessary, ensuring seamless care throughout the recovery journey.
• Document all clinical interactions and maintain compliance with state, federal, and organizational healthcare standards.
• Pursue ongoing professional development through continuing education and collaboration with peers in the field.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if the ASHA certification is not yet obtained.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Possession of Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first month of employment.
