Packaging Line Operator

Responsibilities:
Check work orders, properly select processed material ... checking for weight, alloy, size, and quality.
Operate forklift to bring material to the production floor or shipping department.
Follow packaging instructions.
Operate simple hand tools and machines ... automatic bander, core cutting machine, shrink wrapper, nail gun, circular saw.
Properly identify all slit material and complete all documentation.
Group completed coils together by work order in designated area.
Maintain the work area cleanly and neatly.
Remain open to opportunities for advancement into a manufacturing/production role.
Train new operators, as required.
Assist supervisor/manager and other operators as needed.
Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Manufacturing experience preferred.
Sufficient ability to maintain records and reports.
Ability to read drawings and use measuring instruments.
Working knowledge of measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.).
Understanding of production procedures.
Analytical skills.
Attention to detail.
Teamwork and communication skills
Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g., constant use of protective gear).
