Construction Field SuperintendentDPP is seeking a Construction Field Superintendent for an opportunity with our client in the Aerospace industry. Work location: Fully onsite Merritt Island, FL Duration: 6 months Terms: W2 contract Position summary: This role is for an experienced Construction Field Superintendent who will oversee and coordinate all on-site construction activities. The Field Superintendent is responsible for managing daily operations, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards. This role serves as the primary point of contact between field crews, subcontractors, project management, and stakeholders.Responsibilities:Manage and coordinate all day-to-day field operations and construction activitiesSupervise subcontractors, trade crews, and field personnel to ensure work aligns with project plans and specificationsDevelop, monitor, and maintain project schedules; identify and resolve delays proactivelyEnforce all safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policiesConduct daily site inspections to monitor quality, progress, and adherence to specificationsCoordinate material deliveries, equipment logistics, and resource allocationReview and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specificationsMaintain daily logs, progress reports, and documentation of site activitiesCollaborate with Project Managers on budgets, change orders, and schedulingResolve on-site issues, conflicts, and unforeseen challenges in a timely mannerEnsure quality control standards are met through inspections and testingCommunicate regularly with owners, architects, engineers, and inspectorsManage punch lists and oversee project closeout activitiesRequired knowledge, skills, and abilities:5+ years of construction supervision experience (commercial, industrial, or relevant sector)Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codesAbility to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specificationsProven leadership and team management skillsExcellent problem-solving and decision-making abilitiesStrong verbal and written communication skillsProficiency with scheduling software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam)Education/certifications:Required: OSHA 30 certification (or ability to obtain)Preferred: First Aid/CPR certification, Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field, Experience with large-scale or complex projectsPhysical Requirements:Ability to work on active construction sites in various weather conditions.Capable of walking, standing, climbing, and lifting up to 50 lbs.Frequent site visits requiring mobility across uneven terrain.Work Environment:This position is based primarily on active construction sites, with occasional office work.
