Apprentice Simulator Technician

divh2Apprentice Simulator Technician/h2pIn this role, the Apprentice Simulator Technician will be expected to help ensure that the in-service simulation training equipment meets the contractual availability./ph3Description/h3ulliLearn and be able to prepare the simulation training equipment for daily operation using standard operational readiness checks./liliLearn and perform preventative maintenance in accordance with the published schedules for each training device./liliLearn and carry out Qualification Test Guide (QTG) according to the published monthly schedules for each training device./liliLearn and load appropriate exercise scenarios and other tasks required to prepare for specific training sessions./liliBe taught to effectively check reported snags, verify simulator operation and rectify basic operational and maintenance snags./liliBe taught and assist in the restoration of failed equipment or refer such failures to more qualified/experienced staff./liliLearn and perform housekeeping functions and complete journey logs at the start and finish of scheduled training sessions./liliBe taught and assist other senior engineers with maintenance, problem resolution and certification issues./liliPerform tasks supporting the technical services group as needed./li/ulh3Minimum Qualifications/h3ulliAbility to gain a technical college qualification./liliBasic computing hardware, software and operating systems knowledge and experience./liliInterest and ideally some experience in mechanical and electrical engineering systems./liliBasic understanding and interest in aviation and aircraft systems./liliPC skills (Word, Excel, etc.)./liliFluency in English/li/ulh3Physical Requirements/h3pThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
