Position Summary:
M & R Construction Corp, specializing in high-end and luxury residential projects, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Journeyman Carpenter to join our team in Carson City, NV. As a Journeyman Carpenter, you will play a pivotal role in the construction and renovation of upscale residential properties, ensuring exceptional craftsmanship and adherence to the highest safety standards. Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret architectural plans, blueprints, and sketches to determine specifications and calculate material requirements for high-end residential projects.
- Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and wallboard, with a focus on luxury finishes and details.
- Operate power and hand tools safely and efficiently to complete tasks.
- Measure, cut, shape, and join materials using various tools and techniques, ensuring precision and quality.
- Collaborate with architects, designers, subcontractors, and site supervisors to ensure project milestones are met and client expectations are exceeded.
- Adhere to building codes, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Supervise and mentor apprentice carpenters and other team members as required.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Contribute to accurate and timely project documentation, including progress reports and material inventory.
Qualifications:
- Journeyman Carpenter certification or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in luxury or high-end residential carpentry.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, building codes, and safety regulations.
- Proficient in the use of power tools and hand tools related to carpentry.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Good physical fitness and the ability to lift heavy objects and work at heights.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with a professional demeanor suitable for high-end clientele.
