Warehouse LeadThe team leader is responsible for leading tasks associated with Aurora, Ohio outbound. This means leading tasks including but not limited to check in, matching, sorting, packing, processing, and all other functions to support processing outbound orders. Use of the Warehouse management system (WMS) and Radio frequency devices (RF's) may be required to carry out processing of material, and to maintain inventory integrity.Your ImpactMaintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area.Identify and report faulty equipment, damage, and safety concerns to Supervisor immediately.Follow company standards and legal regulations to ensure a safe and positive work atmosphere.Leads various tasks throughout Aurora facility, including, but not limited to: Check-in, matching, unpacking, matching, counting, sorting, packing, and processing.Teach, train and communicate safety, quality, and productivity standardsMotivate and engage operational staff and associates to ensure facility results are achieved in a high energy, engaging environmentSolve daily operational problems with a can-do approachOutbound Operations ResponsibilitiesBe available to work beyond the regularly scheduled shift when operationally necessary to complete daily outbound work.Complete required daily reporting and scan pick tickets accurately.Coordinate corrugate orders and snap-packing activities with management guidance.Maintain outbound aisles and coordinate the picking, packing, shipping, and confirmation of large customer and stock orders, including Balkamp, Family Farm, Tractor Supply, international shipments, and other large orders.Follow established processes for Central East, England, and France shipments, including P21 transactions, paperwork and spreadsheet organization, and email communication.Schedule and confirm LTL shipments and process international shipments.Process production orders for picking and maintain proficiency in applicable shipping software and systems, including P21 and Quick Ship.Assist with packing decisions and make rate-shopping and LTL/ground shipping decisions with management guidance.Assist with picking and packing when order volumes are high or additional support is needed.Recognize significant increases in order volume and request support from other departments with management guidance.Position pickers and packers based on order volume, with guidance from the Warehouse Supervisor or Warehouse Manager.Organize, track, and record pick tickets as they are generated.Coordinate daily UPS, FedEx, USPS, and less-than-truckload (LTL) shipments.Oversee the daily picking, packing, shipping, and confirmation of outbound orders.Essential Job FunctionsPhysical InvolvementContinuous gripping of objects of varying sizes and weights up to 13lbs.Continuous standing and walking on concrete floor.Frequent kneeling, crouching, bending, squatting, looking up and twisting.Frequent elevated work at waist to chest level.Frequent lifting of 50lbs.Frequent lifting of 50lbs.-70lbs. from floor to waist level.Frequent push/pull of up to 50lbs.Frequent reaching from overhead to waist level of up to 13lbs.Maximal lift of 70lbs.Occasional carry of 20lbs. in one hand.Occasional climbing of stairs and ladder.Occasional lifting to chest level of 70lbs.Occasional pushing/pulling of 400lbs. hand truck.Occasional pushing/pulling to 65lbs. at waist level.Behavior and Mental InvolvementMust be able to coach and lead a TEAMMust be able to resolve and escalate conflict when necessaryMust be able to communicate effectively with all operational staff and co-workersMust be able to perform basic arithmetic calculations (i.e., addition, subtraction, multiplication and division).Must be able to understand and communicate both verbally and in written form in English since instructions, labels and other documents are in English.Must be able to take direction, accept change and handle additional tasks as assigned.Must not present a direct threat or unreasonable risk to him/herself or others.Must represent the Company in a positive manner to co-workers and outside personnel.Knowledge, Skills, and CompetenciesAbility to safely operate warehouse equipment, including pallet jacks, work-assist vehicles, and band sawsAbility to quickly learn shipping and operating systems, including P21 and Quick ShipProficiency in Microsoft Word and ExcelAbility to take direction, adapt to change, and accept additional assignmentsEffective communication with operational staff, co-workers, and outside personnelDetail-oriented decision-making and problem-solvingAbility to multitask, organize work, and prioritize competing operational needsLeadership and team coordinationYour Experience and QualificationsHigh school diploma or GEDThree to twelve months of relevant experience working in a packaging operation.Working ConditionsWork is primarily performed within a warehouse setting both indoors and outdoors.Noise levels vary;
