Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12 Hour Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience License: Active state nursing license required or confirmation that license application process has been initiated Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: - Experience in general medical - Strong teamwork and communication skills Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse in a medical surgical setting. The unit consists of 20 beds. The nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:4/5 on day shifts and 1:5/6 on night shifts. Clinical responsibilities involve providing care to medical surgical patients. The ideal candidate will demonstrate effective teamwork and communication abilities. A charge nurse is available 24 hours per day, with the possibility of taking a patient assignment if short-staffed. Patient care techs are present on the unit 24 hours a day, with a ratio of 1:6/7 on days and 1:10 on nights. Telemetry monitoring is available, and central station monitor techs assist in reading strips. The position requires every other weekend and 3 out of 6 required holidays throughout the year. Floating may be required based on staffing needs. Scrubs are not provided, and there is no specific color requirement for scrubs. Unit-specific orientation will be provided.
