We're looking for Chemistry Experts and Chemical Engineers to join our Expert Network to help train and evaluate cutting-edge AI models using real-world chemical expertise. If you have the necessary experience, we'll send you a quick 10- to 15-minute test to assess your skills and suitability for AI tasks. If successful, you'll be invited to join Prolific as a participant, where you'll get paid to train and evaluate powerful AI models.

Researchers looking for your skills tend to pay up to $60 per hour . You must be prepared to complete paid tasks that require one hour of uninterrupted work , though many are shorter.

• Education: a BS, MS, or PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, or a related Physical Science field.
• Professional Experience: experience in laboratory research, industrial chemical processing, pharmaceutical R&D, or academic instruction.
• Technical Mastery: deep knowledge of organic, inorganic, analytical, or physical chemistry principles and reaction mechanisms.
• Safety & Compliance: a thorough understanding of chemical safety protocols (SDS), GHS standards, and regulatory requirements (EPA, REACH, FDA).
• Analytical Precision: the ability to identify errors in complex IUPAC nomenclature, stoichiometry, molecular geometry, and thermodynamic calculations.
• Communication: ability to explain intricate reaction pathways or molecular interactions in clear, technically accurate language.
• A PayPal account to receive payment from our clients

• Evaluate AI-Generated Chemistry: review model responses to advanced chemistry queries for factual accuracy, structural integrity, and logical reasoning.
• Fact-Check Reactions & Formulas: validate AI-generated chemical reactions, balancing equations, and ensuring proposed synthetic routes are viable and safe.
• Audit Technical Documentation: review model-generated lab protocols, safety summaries, and spectral interpretations (NMR, IR, Mass Spec) for accuracy.
• Annotate Molecular Data: identify and correct errors in SMILES strings, 2D/3D molecular representations, and property predictions.
• Safety Monitoring: ensure AI outputs do not provide instructions for the synthesis of hazardous, illicit, or restricted substances.
