Job Title: Production Assembler Job Description

The Production Assembler uses hand tools and basic measuring equipment to assemble and inspect metal parts according to detailed work instructions. This role focuses on producing accurate, high-quality components, completing required documentation, and ensuring all parts meet customer specifications and internal standards.

• Assemble metal parts using hand tools while closely following written work instructions and standard operating procedures.
• Inspect each part to verify that it meets all required specifications and quality standards before it moves to the next stage.
• Work efficiently to assemble and inspect approximately 25–50 parts per day, depending on the product being manufactured.
• Use a tape measure to take accurate measurements and confirm parts meet dimensional requirements.
• Complete all required documentation, including production reports, work orders, reject forms, and other related paperwork.
• Identify nonconforming parts, properly document rejects, and follow established processes for handling defective components.
• Operate basic production and assembly equipment as needed to support daily manufacturing activities.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, following safety guidelines and best practices at all times.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and support continuous improvement efforts.

• At least 2 years of experience using hand tools in a production, assembly, or similar environment.
• At least 1 year of experience in parts manufacturing or general production work.
• Ability to read and follow detailed work instructions and production documentation.
• Proficiency using a tape measure, including passing a tape measure test during the interview process.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to inspect parts for accuracy and quality.
• Basic experience with production, general production, general labor, and assembly tasks.
• Ability to operate basic machines or equipment used in a production or assembly setting.
• Reliable work habits with the ability to meet daily production and quality expectations.

• Experience using calipers, micrometers, and gauges for precise measurement and inspection.
• Comfort working with various metal parts and components in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to accurately complete reports, orders, and reject forms with clear and legible documentation.
• Willingness to learn new equipment and processes as production needs evolve.

This role is based in a production and assembly environment working with metal parts and standard hand tools. You will use equipment such as tape measures and, where applicable, calipers, micrometers, gauges, and basic production machinery. The facility operates multiple shifts. The first shift typically runs from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and when 10-hour shifts are scheduled, it runs from 4:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The second shift typically runs from 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. or 3:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m., and when 10-hour shifts are scheduled, it runs from 3:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. Overtime may be required, but it is generally not assigned until you have been with the team for a few weeks. The work involves standing, using hand tools, handling parts, and working in a typical manufacturing setting that emphasizes safety, organization, and adherence to established procedures.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hannibal, MO.

The pay range for this position is $19.73 - $22.23/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Hannibal,MO.
