As an Advanced Patient Care Technician (PCT) , you will be an important part of delivering compassionate, patient‑centered care. Under the guidance of a registered nurse, you will perform advanced clinical tasks and help create a safe, welcoming environment where patients and families feel valued and respected. Responsibilities Observe patients, document changes, and communicate them with the nursing team. Help patients with daily needs (ADLs) such as eating, drinking, bathing, and moving safely. Provide advanced care, including phlebotomy, telemetry monitoring, removing IV lines and catheters, and care for wounds. Assist with supporting tasks like collecting lab samples and assisting with clerical duties to keep care running smoothly. Look ahead to what patients might need, respond quickly, and help ensure every experience feels seamless and compassionate. What will you do in this role: Obtain and record initial and ongoing patient information throughout the cycle of care, including admissions data, vital signs, height and weight, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, intake and output, calorie counts, and other patient information as outlined by policy. Document observations, interactions, patient responses to performed activities, and any physical or behavioral changes at the time of occurrence. Report observations of patients to the RN/Team Lead. Help with mobility by regular turning and positioning, dangling, and ambulating patients. Help with the use of walkers, crutches, canes, and wheelchairs. Transfer patients to and from other units, departments, or entities. Help with discharges. Demonstrate proper body mechanics. Provide or help with non‑medicated care, including non‑sterile dressing changes, skin protection, application of heat or ice, and ventus compression devices. Obtain or help in the collection of specimens for diagnostic or waived tests. Ensure accuracy of all labels and transfer of specimens. Help patients with activities of daily living including eating and drinking, bathing, shaving, oral care, grooming, and elimination. Change bed linens as needed. Perform hourly rounding and respond promptly to call lights and patient requests. Aim to anticipate patient needs and resolve them proactively. Qualifications Experience drawing labs/phlebotomy preferred. Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date. We are an equal opportunity employer.
