Registered Nurse - IMC/PCU/Stepdown

$1591.20/week -

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse will provide specialized care on a 22-bed Progressive Care Unit, focusing on burn, reconstructive, stroke, and cardiac patients. This role involves delivering high-quality nursing care in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Assess, plan, and deliver patient care in accordance with clinical guidelines and patient needs.
  
  
• 
  Administer medications, dressings, and treatments while maintaining strict adherence to safety protocols.
  
  
• 
  Monitor patient progress, respond to changing conditions, and escalate concerns promptly.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient management.
  
  
• 
  Document patient care activities accurately in the Meditech EMR system.
  
  
• 
  Support unit policies, adhere to infection control standards, and participate in shift handoffs.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Valid RN license with at least 2 years of recent experience in PCU, Med/Surg, or step-down units.
  
  
• 
  Current BLS certification required.
  
  
• 
  Proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical setting.
  
  
• 
  Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
  
  
• 
  Experience with burn, reconstructive, stroke, or cardiac care preferred.
  
  
• 
  Ability to float within PCU, Tele, or Med/Surg zones as needed.
