Golf Shop Assistants offer friendly and prompt service to the property's guests and assist the golf professional staff in golf shop operations, merchandise sales and other golf-related activities. Beginners are welcome – while knowledge of golf is preferred, previous Golf Shop Assistant experience is not required for the position. For more information on our open opportunities, apply today!Responsibilities:Maintain professional appearanceProcess customer reservations for guests of the golf courseProvide customer service to arriving guests to help expedite check-in processArrange and display golf shop inventory as necessary and directedCollect green and cart fees (and other revenue) from guests and process in the point-of-sale (POS) system as trainedIssue receipts for guest purchasesTake messages for staff or guestsAssist in packing and unpacking inventory and golf operations suppliesAssist in reconciliation of cash and accounts receivable charges at the daily register at the closing of the dayPerform clean-up and closing proceduresPerform other duties as assigned by a supervisor or managerEducation and Experience Requirements:Must be highly motivated, goal-driven, and a self-starterMust have basic computer knowledgeMust have strong customer/guest orientationMust have strong communication and interpersonal skillsMust be dependableKnowledge of the game of golf preferredWorking Conditions:While performing the required duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to reach with arms and handsThe employee is often required to walk, stand, talk, or hear, handle, feel or operate objectsThe employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 30 lbs occasionallyThe employee will occasionally be required to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawlSpecific vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, and depth perceptionNoise level is moderateThe employee will be expected to work extended hours during golf and holiday seasonThe employee will be expected to work weekends and holidaysEqual Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
