Position: Store Manager Location: New York, NY Employment Type: Full-time Compensation: 75,000 Position Overview The Store Manager will oversee all aspects of store operations, ensuring an exceptional customer experience and a well-organized, high-performing retail environment. This role involves leading and motivating a team, driving sales, and maintaining operational excellence. The Store Manager will collaborate closely with the owner to execute merchandising strategies and support e-commerce initiatives. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Responsibilities Oversee all day-to-day operations of the store, ensuring a seamless and engaging customer experience Lead by example on the sales floor and create a fun, energetic, and welcoming environment Build strong relationships with customers, including tweens, teens, and their parents Recruit, train, coach, and motivate store associates to achieve performance goals Establish a positive and collaborative team culture that aligns with brand values Drive sales and help the team achieve store goals and KPIs Manage opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and daily store operations Oversee inventory management, including receiving, transfers, replenishment, and stock organization Utilize Shopify POS for transactions and store operations Support the brand's e-commerce operations as needed Maintain accurate inventory and ensure the back-of-house remains highly organized Assist with visual merchandising and maintain the store's aesthetic and presentation Partner closely with the owner on store merchandising, opening preparations, and ongoing store strategy Help prepare the store for its opening, including merchandising, inventory organization, and operational setup Identify opportunities to improve the customer experience and increase sales Handle customer questions, concerns, and service issues with professionalism and enthusiasm Required Experience/Skills 5+ years of retail experience, with demonstrated progression into leadership roles Background as a Store Manager, Assistant Store Manager, Keyholder, or similar retail leadership role Strong experience with Shopify POS and hands-on inventory management Proven ability to hire, train, and develop retail teams Strong understanding of sales strategies and customer service best practices Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and operational discipline Dependable, proactive, and comfortable taking ownership of store performance Naturally outgoing, warm, and energetic personality with strong interpersonal skills Preferred Experience/Skills Experience in women's, children's, accessories, lifestyle, or contemporary retail Fashion-forward with a strong understanding of current trends and youth culture Ability to balance a fun, approachable personality with strong operational discipline Comfortable interacting with tweens, teens, and parents in a retail setting Previous experience supporting e-commerce operations is a plus Education Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required Bachelor's degree in Business, Retail Management, or related field preferred Additional certifications in retail management or leadership training a plus Ongoing professional development in retail operations and customer experience encouraged If eligible under the ACA, medical, dental and vision benefits and time off in accordance with local paid sick time laws will be offered.
