We are seeking a Materials Manager to join the team at Kemira's chemical manufacturing facility in Marietta, GA. With safety as the first priority, this on-site position directs the Materials department, providing leadership and establishing priorities for the team in alignment with Kemira strategy and objectives. By creating and sustaining a positive work environment, the Materials Manager helps the team achieve results that consistently meet or exceed customer expectations. In this role you will be responsible for:Strong, frequent presence in the plant to implement a safety and customer-focused culture in the Materials departmentEnsuring compliance with ISO, OSHA, DOT / FRA and DHS standards and regulationsCollaborating with site Production & Quality departments and corporate Supply Chain to schedule and execute raw material receipts and product shipmentsMaintaining raw material and finished goods inventory targetsOrganizing and managing on-site warehousesOverseeing warehouse shipping / receiving with emphasis on accuracy, efficiency & timelinessCollaborating with Sourcing and Procurement teams to source raw materials and packaging to maximize production and capacity efficiencyHiring, training and developing employees to achieve their maximum potentialControlling department costsEntering and maintaining relevant SAP parameters for products and raw materialsWhat you'll bring to the team:College degree in business or related discipline or equivalent experienceMinimum of 5 years of experience in Materials Management / logisticsMinimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in a fast-paced, customer-focused roleStrong interpersonal and written communication skillsExtensive SAP experience, especially in warehouse-related transactionsProficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Forklift / industrial truck experience preferredWhat you can expect from us:Opportunities for personal and professional growthEmployment in a stable company and facility with an established position in the marketAttractive benefits packagePositive work environment with a strong safety cultureReady to create better every day? The starting salary range for consideration for this position is $95,000 to $105,000 per year with opportunities for performance-based bonuses. The actual starting salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to relevant employment history & experience, skill set/competencies, qualifications, and other business and organizational needs.
