MRI Technologist

Currently seeking a full-time MRI Technologist for 36-hour shifts on Sunday, Wednesday, and Saturday. The position requires 12-hour shifts from 6:30 am to 7:00 pm. There may be requests to perform variable shifts due to patient census. Holidays are covered by call, and assistance may be required. Responsibilities include providing care appropriate to the condition and age of patients, including geriatric and pediatric populations. Staff will ensure the care and safety of patients while maintaining confidentiality at all times. Responsibilities also involve communicating the mission and vision of the organization and developing effective working relationships with patients and medical staff. Job-specific duties include performing MRI procedures, building protocols, and screening patients for any contraindications related to exams. Staff must follow safety requirements per established protocols. The MRI Technologist will explain procedures to patients, address any concerns, and exhibit a high degree of tact and courtesy. Patient education about procedures is essential, and staff must ensure safety by explaining safety protocols and requesting the removal of hazardous metal objects. Monitoring patients is a critical responsibility, which includes both visual and verbal oversight. The position also requires operating other necessary equipment and maintaining a clean and orderly environment to promote good safety habits. Inventory management and reporting on equipment status are additional responsibilities. Staff may be required to perform other related duties as necessary. Education and experience requirements include an Associate's Degree or Certificate from a two-year college or certificate-based program.
