Salary Range: $81,168 - $83,000 Location: 4100 194th St. S.W. Suite 100, Lynnwood, Washington 98036 Organization The Center for Autism and Related Disorders (CARD) is a mission‑driven organization that provides applied behavior analysis (ABA) services to individuals of all ages diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder. CARD operates across the United States, delivering comprehensive, individualized treatment programs through a network of behavior technicians, Board‑Certified Behavior Analysts, and researchers. Position Overview The Operations Manager oversees the day‑to‑day operations of their assigned center. Key responsibilities include: Billing, payroll, and general reporting Mutually beneficial scheduling of staff and patients Recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of local BTs and administrative staff, and support of this process for clinical staff Managing employee and client relations Ensuring financial health of the center based on key performance indicators Maintaining a safe and effective facility Communicating with staff, patients, and families; coordinating facility operations for maintenance, cleaning, and supplies Running a successful field‑level business in regard to growth and treatment fulfillment Supporting other centers lacking an Operations Manager, including PTO coverage as needed Essential Duties and Responsibilities Represent CARD professionally and ethically to internal and external stakeholders Uphold CARD standards and values while communicating the mission at the center Create and maintain strong staff engagement and culture Recruit, hire, and onboard administrative and clinical staff on an ongoing basis Supervise daily operations of administrative staff and clinicians to ensure satisfaction Provide mentorship and career development, including feedback via one‑on‑one meetings and annual performance management Schedule all clients and staff to meet contracted hours and minimum billing requirements Partner with Clinical Supervisors to deliver high‑quality clinical services, ensuring patient, family, and staff satisfaction Apply business systems, legal practices, HIPAA compliance, and technology as mandated by CARD Maintain client and employee records Manage the center’s purchasing budget and track equipment and devices Lead outreach efforts to achieve monthly growth targets and forge relationships with community entities (schools, doctors, parent organizations, etc.) Improve KPIs, patient retention, staff development, and division growth to support financial health Maintain client and employee privacy per CARD policy and HIPAA regulations Oversee facility cleaning, hygiene, safety, and maintenance, ensuring vendor procedures and documentation are followed Meet regularly with the Division Director and Group Operations Manager Attend required trainings, meetings, and other duties as assigned Requirements High school diploma or equivalent (required) Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, administration, or management (preferred) 3–6 years of management experience (required) Some experience in healthcare settings (preferred) Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Work independently and lead in a complex, sometimes stressful environment while remaining calm and focused Decisive operational, implementation, and detail‑oriented mindset Excellent leadership and people‑development skills, leading by example Proactive, results‑oriented, creative problem solver Exercise judgment, maintain confidentiality, and communicate diplomatically Prioritize and execute tasks effectively Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with staff and families Collaborate closely with families to support patient success and quality of care, setting expectations and enforcing policy Desire to learn the clinical side of the CARD model Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including phone and e‑mail etiquette English proficiency, both verbal and written (required) Computer proficiency (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Work extended hours, weekends, and holidays as required by industry demands Professional, reliable, adaptable, compassionate, active listener, and enthusiastic Work Environment The role alternates between a typical office setting (minimal noise, no adverse environmental issues) and occasional local or overnight travel, usually by automobile or plane. Physical Requirements Work with patients seated on the floor, in small chairs, or in community and clinic environments Move frequently throughout therapeutic settings to gather materials, anticipate patient movement, and provide instruction in various settings (school, playground, clinic, community) Position oneself to participate and respond to patient behaviors, including bending, kneeling, crouching, hurrying, and reaching as needed Maintain continuous visual tracking of patient movement and surrounding environment Evade aggressive behaviors or physically block attempts to aggress towards others when necessary Expose oneself to potentially heavy patient weight during assistance (e.g., leaning, pushing) Teach gross‑motor skills (climbing, jumping) and fine‑motor skills (clapping, opening containers) using modeling when required Work in indoor and outdoor settings, including weather conditions (community skills, school recess) Lift up to 30 lbs while assisting patients Legal Statement Qualified Applicants with arrest or conviction records will be considered for employment in accordance with the California Fair Chance Act.
