Construction Services Supervisor

Responsibilities Mead & Hunt, a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, has a full-time position available for a Construction Services Supervisor in our Washington, DC; Maryland; or Virginia office locations. Responsibilities include: Managing and mentoring staff, including assigning work and monitoring work quality. Leading construction inspectors on materials testing and inspection procedures. Conducting, coordinating, evaluating, and recommending training to develop staff skills. Assisting the Department Manager with staffing resource allocation and business planning. Providing project management and supervision for CEI projects. Managing business development opportunities and client relationships. Ensuring transportation group and M&H policies/procedures are maintained and followed. A valid driver’s license and travel will be required. Qualifications The successful candidate must have all the following: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field from an accredited college or university and at least 3 years of relevant engineering experience. Associate degree in engineering or related field from an accredited college or university and at least 5 years of relevant engineering experience. If no degree, must have at least 7 years of relevant engineering experience. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate will have any/all of the following: PE license in MD, DC or VA. Ten (10) years of industry-related experience. Construction Manager (CCM) Certification. Experience supervising and mentoring staff. Experience with construction site quality control and quality assurance, claim reviews, and reviewing change orders. Experience with cost estimates and project scheduling. Experience preparing proposals and managing contracts. Other Information Salary Range: $115,000 to $145,000 annually – Actual compensation may vary due to other factors such as experience, skill set, or location.
