Details Float pool position covering MS, MS/Tele, and PCU units within the hospital Adult to geriatric patient population Patient ratios of 1:4-5 on PCU and 1:5-6 on MS/MS Tele units Utilizes Epic for charting along with Pyxis and SBAR communication tools Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM Every other weekend required (average of 6 weekends over a 13-week contract) Floating required to all MS, MS/Tele, and PCU units No on-call requirements Requirements Active GA or Compact RN license required Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required Minimum 1 year of relevant nursing experience required First-time travelers accepted Epic charting experience required Preferred experience includes charge role, teaching hospital, and community hospital settings Preferred skills include arterial line management, blood product administration, central line and PICC line care, ventilator care, high flow nasal cannula, cardiac/vasoactive drip management, and surgical drain care Additional Information Provide nursing care across MS, MS/Tele, and PCU patient populations with cardiac monitoring and emergency response duties Navy blue scrubs required Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, which must be finalized prior to submission No RTO can be requested during orientation week Holiday coverage required: must work 1-2 major holidays if they fall during the assignment, or 2 of 3 major holidays if three occur during the assignment Compliance items must be completed on time to avoid a two-week delay due to biweekly orientation scheduling Local candidates accepted at the same rate Previous Piedmont perm, per diem, or FCSS employees must be separated from all Piedmont facilities for one full year before applying as a traveler American Traveler Job ID P-743766.
