The Tool Maker will fabricate and repair molding dies, fixtures, gauges, and tools.ResponsibilitiesExamine form and texture of plastic parts to detect imperfections on Class A surfacesDismantle dies to assess repair and toolStudy specifications such as blue prints, sketches, models or descriptions and visualizes product to determine materials required and machines to be used to fabricate partsLift dies with overhead cranesVerify dimensions, alignments and clearancesExamine tools and recommend design modifications regarding construction and function of the partWorking knowledge of mill, lathe, surface grinder, TIG weldingKnowledge of hydraulics and electrical trouble shootingQualifications3-5 years of experience in tool and die repair role.Experience with plastic injection molding tools preferredAbility to perform fabrication and repairs utilizing machineryExperience with overhead cranes preferredAbility to work with minimal supervisionJob Type: Full-timeBenefits401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceEmployee assistance programFlexible spending accountHealth insuranceHealth savings accountLife insurancePaid time offProfessional development assistanceReferral programRelocation assistanceTuition reimbursementVision insuranceMedical, dental, prescription, vision, life and disability insurance; and a flexible spending account. 401(k) retirement savings plan with company match.
