Make a difference in the lives of young learners as a Special Education Teacher supporting K-3 students, specifically those with autism and/or who are non-verbal. Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teaching certification appropriate for New Mexico or willingness to obtain
• Previous experience working with primary/elementary-aged students, especially in K-3 settings
• Demonstrated skill supporting children with autism and/or non-verbal communication
• Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and data collection
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities with students, families, and colleagues
• Patience, creativity, and a commitment to inclusive education principles

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized lesson plans for students with autism or non-verbal needs
• Utilize evidence-based strategies to support communication, social, and academic growth
• Collect data and monitor progress toward IEP goals
• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians and multidisciplinary teams
• Adapt instruction to meet diverse learning needs and engage students in the classroom
• Participate in IEP meetings, training sessions, and ongoing professional development
