Housekeeping Staff

Housekeeping Team Northgate Resorts owns and manages the most awarded camp‑resort portfolio in the nation. The Housekeeping Team is comprised of three main positions: Cabin Attendant, Inspectors, and Laundry Attendants. The team is responsible for cleaning, maintaining, and verifying the cleanliness of the park cabins, lodges, and other company‑owned private guest quarters and all accompanying linens. This is a seasonal position, full‑time or part‑time, reporting to the Executive Housekeeper. Duties & Responsibilities Cabin Attendants Safely maintain assigned housekeeping equipment and supplies Ensure cabins are properly stocked and equipped Remove trash and used linens to prepare for the housekeeper to clean Set climate control on approved temperature settings Report maintenance issues discovered while cleaning Record location and turn in lost and found items Participate in other projects and activities as assigned Housekeeping Inspectors Inspect cabins, lodges and other private guest quarters to verify cleanliness is at or above brand standards Report maintenance issues or damages discovered while cleaning or inspecting and ensure follow‑through Monitor temperature controls and appliances to ensure all are off or set to proper levels Work with housekeepers to clean all guestrooms Record location and turn in lost and found items Safely maintain assigned housekeeping equipment and supplies Mentor housekeeping staff to ensure cleanliness standards and operational efficiencies are met or exceeded Use reservation system to communicate room status and report early check‑outs and discrepancies with Guest Relations team Participate in other projects and activities as assigned Laundry Attendants Collect and sort linen into appropriate groups for washing Separate stained linen from other dirty linen and treat according to policy and procedures Transport large loads of wet and dry linen in terry carts to the laundering area Load and unload washers, dryers, and fold linens to company standards Monitor supplies and report shortages for re‑ordering Clean appliances and equipment, observe and report maintenance issues discovered while cleaning Track discarded linens and report to Executive Housekeeper for replenishment Record location and turn in lost and found items Participate in other projects and activities as assigned, e.g., assisting teammates with collecting and delivering soiled linens and cleaning duties Qualifications / Requirements Basic computer skills Excellent communication, customer service, and problem‑solving skills Strong attention to detail, speed, and accuracy Ability to multi‑task and work in a fast‑paced environment Strong work ethic and a positive attitude Required to work nights, weekends, and holidays Work with minimal supervision Maintain a positive work environment by acting and communicating with customers, clients, vendors, coworkers, and management in a respectful manner Essential Physical Demands Able to lift up to 50 lbs Must be able to remain in a stationary position Continuously climb, balance, stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, and crawl Able to manipulate fingers, hands, and arms to reach, carry, etc. Constant exposure to outside weather conditions Equal Employment Opportunity Northgate provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
