Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)

Temporary Coverage Opportunity - Potential for Direct Hire!


We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and detail-oriented Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to provide short-term coverage for a busy healthcare clinic. In this role, you'll work alongside physicians and clinical staff to deliver exceptional patient care while ensuring the office operates efficiently.


This assignment is to provide coverage on July 1 and July 2, with a paid training session scheduled beforehand. While this is initially a temporary assignment through Express Healthcare Staffing, the client has indicated they may consider a Direct Hire opportunity based on performance, business need, and mutual interest.

Responsibilities

• Room and prepare patients for examinations and procedures.
• Obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, and patient information.
• Assist providers during examinations and minor procedures.
• Administer injections, medications, immunizations, and perform laboratory specimen collection as directed.
• Perform EKGs, point-of-care testing, and other clinical procedures within scope of practice.
• Prepare and maintain exam rooms, instruments, and medical supplies.
• Schedule appointments and assist with patient check-in/check-out as needed.
• Accurately document patient information in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Educate patients on medications, treatments, and follow-up care.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
• Provide outstanding patient service while fostering a welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification required.
• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred.
• Previous clinical experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures.
• Experience with EMR systems is a plus.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Schedule


Paid Training (Required)

• One paid 4-hour training session scheduled prior to coverage
• Training time will be either:
  • 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM , or
  • 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM

Coverage Dates

• Tuesday, July 1: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• Wednesday, July 2: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Pay


$26.00/hour
