Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg/Telemetry

We are seeking motivated and adaptable Registered Nurses (RNs) with experience in Med Surg and Telemetry to join our dedicated team. This role requires versatility and the willingness to float between multiple locations within the region.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to a diverse patient population in a medical-surgical environment.
• Monitor and manage patient care, including telemetry and heparin drips.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Assist with training and guidance of new staff members, fostering a collaborative work environment.
• Participate in holiday rotation and weekend shifts as required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 24 months of experience in Med Surg or Med Surg Telemetry nursing.
• Completion of at least one travel contract within the last 18 months.
• Proficiency in caring for a wide range of medical-surgical patients.
• Experience with EPIC electronic medical records system.
• Solid background in telemetry and cardiac care is highly preferred.
• Recent experience in charge nursing or as a preceptor is required.
• Must possess an active Iowa license or valid compact/multistate license.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.

Work Environment

This position involves working in a dynamic and evolving environment dedicated to serving the community. Nurses will engage in various patient care responsibilities and are expected to maintain a positive attitude while adapting to changing circumstances.

Additional Information

• Standard patient ratios of 4-5 patients per nurse.
• Ability to float to all relevant medical-surgical units is necessary.
• Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs required.
