Experienced Instrument Repair Technician (Full-Time in Piscataway, New Jersey) National Educational Music Company (NEMC) is growing, and we’re excited to add an experienced full-time Instrument Repair Technician to our team! What you’ll do: Repair rental fleet instruments and customer-owned instruments with care and precision Diagnose damage, mechanical issues, and performance problems across a wide range of instruments Complete repairs efficiently while meeting established turnaround times Estimate repair time and costs in line with company pricing and market standards Keep tools and equipment in safe, working order—and flag any safety concerns Document repair work and time accurately Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop Provide friendly, professional service to music educators, school staff, students, dealers, and teammates Pitch in with other tasks as needed to keep our service department running smoothly What we’re looking for: Prior experience as an instrument repair technician (required) An organized, motivated self-starter who takes ownership of their work A strong customer‑service mindset and attention to detail The details: Schedule: Full‑time, up to 40 hours/week Pay: $25–$35/hour, based on experience Benefits: Health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) with company match, HSA & FSA options, and paid time off About NEMC: National Educational Music Company has been supporting school music programs for over 60 years and is proud to be part of Ensemble Performing Arts, one of the nation’s leading music education organizations.
