Patient Services Specialist

Community Bridges, Inc. (CBI) is an integrated behavioral healthcare agency offering a variety of programs across Arizona, serving patients with crisis, opioid use disorder, homelessness, and mental illness. Job Summary The Patient Services Specialist is responsible for the front‑end business operations for the assigned clinic. Duties include patient registration, verification of patient demographic information, creating and maintaining the patient electronic chart, answering incoming calls, routing calls as needed, scheduling intake appointments within established timeframes in the CBI EHR/EPM scheduling system, obtaining and verifying insurance information, identifying patient amounts due, and, for uninsured patients, identifying potential funding sources and eligibility for AHCCCS. The specialist notifies a clinical team member when registration is complete and schedules follow‑up appointments as indicated by the clinical team. Skills / Requirements High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Business or Healthcare preferred. 1‑3 years of experience with insurance verification and/or front‑desk experience in a medical office setting preferred but not required. Knowledge of AHCCCS, insurance, and strong customer‑service skills. Equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable. Benefits Generous PTO accrual (5 weeks).
