Safety Specialist

Responsibilities Partner with location leadership and staff to deliver safety trainings Administer programs, identify gaps and implement policies & procedures Conduct effective EH&S related training for employees, contractors, and visitors Conduct most basic EH&S related audits, workplace inspections, job safety analysis, and maintain detailed recordkeeping Provide first aid and coordinate medical attention for serious injuries Conduct accident investigations, manage worker’s compensation, and return to work program Communicate EH&S related requirements to ensure regulatory compliance and a safe work environment Respond to day-to-day EH&S related issues in a timely manner Keep current on EH&S related rules and regulations Requirements High School diploma or GED Knowledge of Environmental, Health, and/or Safety Ability to complete OSHA 30 hour construction training certification program Ability to build strong relationships & partnerships Effective communication skills Ability to work within Microsoft Suite Bachelor's degree preferred in Occupational Health, Environmental Health and Safety, or related field Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in Environmental, Health, and Safety (EH&S) practices, including conducting training, audits, and accident investigations. Proficient in regulatory compliance and maintaining a safe work environment through effective communication and relationship-building.
