Cardiac Device Technologist – Cardiology Office Summa Health Medical Group 95 Arch Street, Akron, OH 44304 Certified Device Technician with at least 3 years of device clinic experience preferred. Certified Medical Assistants with cardiology experience will be considered. Knowledge of Electrophysiology and Cardiac Devices such as ICDs, pacemakers, loop recorders and device monitoring systems preferred. Summary Provides quality patient care for office and hospital patients following Summa’s established standards and practices and consistent with Summa’s mission values. Assists in the evaluation of patients with cardiac implanted electronic devices. Minimum Qualifications Graduate of an accredited school of medical assisting certified cardiovascular technician with 3 year experience. Certified cardiovascular technician with 3 years’ experience. Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications Demonstrate the technical knowledge to assist in the care of patients with cardiac implantable devices. Basic computer skills. Ability to effectively interact with populations of patients/customers with an understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity.
