Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

Location: Mt. Washington, KY Schedule: Full-Time | Monday-Friday

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our pediatric therapy team. In this role, you will assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, social communication, cognitive-communication, feeding, and swallowing disorders in children. The ideal candidate is passionate about helping children achieve their communication goals while collaborating with families and interdisciplinary team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate speech, language, cognitive-communication, feeding, and swallowing disorders in pediatric patients.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs.
• Provide therapy to improve speech production, language skills, voice quality, and communication abilities.
• Work with children who may have feeding difficulties, dyslexia, sensory needs, or require assistive technology support.
• Assist patients in developing and strengthening muscles used for swallowing and feeding.
• Educate and counsel patients and families regarding communication and swallowing disorders.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, evaluations, treatment notes, and progress reports.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals, educators, and community resources to ensure comprehensive care.
• Serve as a Clinical Fellowship (CF) Supervisor, if qualified.

Qualifications

Required

• Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Current state licensure in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience providing services to children and/or adolescents.
• Experience coordinating clinical services.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of speech and language assessment tools and treatment techniques.
• Experience with assistive technology, dyslexia interventions, feeding therapy, and swallowing disorders.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, families, colleagues, and community partners.
• Familiarity with pediatric therapy best practices and community resources.
