Job Requirements Active Alabama RN license or compact/multi-state Registered Nurse license Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in Level 1 Nursery, Postpartum, OB/GYN, and Labor & Delivery/LDRP Current ACLS certification through the American Heart Association Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association Current NRP certification Current STABLE certification Current AWHONN certification Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a women's health setting Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care including assessments, care planning, interventions, and evaluation of patient outcomes Administer medications, collect specimens, and perform other ordered clinical treatments Monitor, document, and communicate patient status to physicians, patients, and families as appropriate Support patients with activities of daily living, including hygiene, nutrition, elimination, and ambulation Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care, transfers, discharges, referrals, and supportive needs Educate patients and families based on age, condition, culture, and learning needs Assist with C-sections, attend deliveries, and support physicians during labor and birth Provide care during recovery and for surgical patients following appropriate policies and procedures Attend to the neonatal station in the C-section suite and perform complete newborn assessments after delivery Help identify and escalate important clinical information to physicians and the care team Apply now to explore this Women’s Health RN travel nurse job in Andalusia, Alabama and join a team dedicated to excellent patient care.
