Head Girls Soccer Coach - Lead Player Development

Position Description Jacobs High School is seeking a highly motivated individual to fill the role of Head Girls Soccer Coach with a strong knowledge of IHSA Soccer and a focus on student‑athletic achievement. The coach must be able to coach at all levels within the program, be organized, flexible, take direction from the direct supervisor, and work with parents and the Booster Club. Responsibilities and Qualifications Previous high school, collegiate and/or club soccer coaching experience is required. Manage all levels within the program and various areas, be organized, flexible, take direction from the direct supervisor, and work and communicate with parents and the Booster Club. Enhance, improve and maximize students' athletic skills for high level competition. Lead an athletic program for sustained participation and success. Support student‑athlete strength and speed training, fundraising, equipment organization, and other tasks to maximize student achievement and maintain accurate records. Work with the Athletic Department to ensure all games, officials and transportation are scheduled. Maintain accurate equipment records for the entire program. Organize and oversee all program levels and areas of responsibility. Communicate with the Athletic Director to secure facilities and ensure a safe practice/competition environment for students. Set the philosophy, programmatic instruction of sequential fundamentals and proper conditioning to maximize the student‑athlete experience. Communicate and plan with the assistant coach practice sessions and competition strategies to ensure health and physical well‑being of student participants. Coordinate with the Athletic Director all in‑season practices. Ensure all student participants at his/her program level comply with D300 and IHSA requirements including current athletic physical, Code of Conduct, fees paid, and academic eligibility prior to practice, tryout and competition. Model and instill the values of sportsmanship and fair play, enforce consequences for breaches of such standards. Attend all student‑athlete practices, games and monitor proper supervision at all practices, games and school‑provided transportation. Maintain and provide the athletic director with end‑of‑season individual and team records and statistics. Participate in a mandatory preseason parent meeting and head coaching minutes. Plan seasonal student‑athlete recognition. Distribute and collect uniforms and equipment. Engage in personal professional development activities.
