In this position, you will have the opportunity to lead cross-functional teams in engineering, operations, quality, purchasing, etc. to support production programs across a variety of technologies. As part of the project engineer role you will be responsible for maintaining engineering support to the production organization to ensure deliveries and commitments are met. You will manage internal and external customer relationships while maintaining constant communication to the sustaining team and management. Additionally, the role requires a strong understanding of mechanical components and assemblies. Furthermore, this role will have the opportunity to make a direct impact on the financial success of our site. MPC is on the lookout for an ambitious candidate who is a superb communicator with strong technical skills and who wants to make an impact in the aerospace industry.What You Will DoConfidently provide clear, concise communications with customers, peers, and Collins leadershipLead Root Cause & Corrective Action (RCCA) efforts to identify causes and mitigation plans for issues affecting program productivity, quality, and customer satisfactionProvide customer support for Field Failure investigationsPursue cost saving opportunities to maximize project profitabilityConsolidate and present plans and progress reports relating to business aspects of the projectLiaise between project management and planning, project teams, and production line management as necessary to support plant output.Prepare project estimates and project plans.Manage project schedule, budgets and status. Plan, direct and oversee activities of an Integrated Project Team (IPT).Support Quality investigations as necessary when piece-part issues affect product deliveries.Understand and execute test procedures. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
