Tax Examining Technician (Seasonal) - Direct Hire, TERM

Qualification Requirements Specialized Experience / Education GS-05: Applicants must meet one of the following: At least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-04). Examples of qualifying experience include: responding to customer inquiries regarding billing or financial transactions, managing customer accounts (credits, debits, adjustments, reconciling discrepancies), performing daily work using a computer (Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Word, Excel, Edge, or other search engines) to locate and review records, and researching and communicating established rules and procedures that involve factual details. Substitute education: A Bachelor's degree or four years of education above high school in any field from an accredited business, secretarial, or technical school, junior college, college, or university. Combination of education and experience equivalent to one year of specialized experience. Post‑high‑school education must be from an accredited business, secretarial, or technical school, junior college, college, or university. You must also meet the following requirement(s): Minimum age requirement: Minimum age for federal employment is 18 years old, or at least 16 years old and have: Graduated from high school or been awarded a certificate equivalent to graduating from high school; or Completed a formal vocational training program; or Received a statement from school authorities agreeing with your preference for employment rather than continuing your education.
