Accounts Payable SpecialistLocation: Belle Plaine, MN (Hybrid) Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Pay Rate: $24.00 – $28.00/hour Industry: Building Materials / Construction ServicesPosition OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to support a high?volume AP function within a fast?paced, team?oriented environment. This role will focus on managing large volumes of invoices, maintaining vendor communication, and ensuring timely and accurate processing across multiple systems. The ideal candidate is detail?oriented, organized, and comfortable engaging with both vendors and internal teams.Key ResponsibilitiesManage high?volume accounts payable processing, handling a large number of invoices and payments on a monthly basisMonitor and maintain a shared AP inbox, responding to vendor and internal inquiries in a timely mannerPerform data entry and invoice processing across multiple systems, including AP automation and OCR toolsRoute invoices for proper coding and approvals, ensuring compliance and accuracyCoordinate invoice submissions through OCR and assist with vendor setup and maintenanceTrack payment status and follow up on discrepancies, missing invoices, or outstanding issuesCollaborate with team members on a rotating basis to manage high volumes of incoming communicationsBuild strong relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure efficient issue resolutionQualifications3+ years of Accounts Payable experience requiredExperience in the construction or construction services industry preferredProven ability to succeed in a high?volume AP environmentStrong Excel skills (including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables)Comfortable working across multiple systems and adapting to new toolsExcellent communication skills with a proactive, team?oriented mindsetExperience with ERP systems or AP automation tools (e.g., Oracle, SoftCo, or similar) is a plusBachelor's degree preferred, but not requiredWork EnvironmentHybrid role based out of Belle Plaine (3 days in office per week)Business casual dress codeCollaborative, team?driven culture within a 4?person AP teamFast?paced setting requiring strong organization and active communication (ideal for someone outgoing and engaged)
