This position requires previous medical front-desk experience, including hands-on experience with Athena EHR and Phreesia. Candidates without medical experience will not be considered.
The Medical Front Desk Admin will be the first point of contact for our patients and families. Responsibilities include answering phones, scheduling appointments, checking in patients, verifying insurance information, and maintaining accurate records.
This is a full-time, in-office position in a busy pediatric medical office.
Responsibilities
- Greet and assist visitors professionally
- Handle incoming calls and direct them appropriately
- Manage schedules and coordinate appointments
- Perform accurate data entry and maintain records
- Provide timely customer support
- Maintain office organization and supplies
- Keep detailed and organized documentation
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of recent medical front-desk/reception experience
- Athena EHR experience is required
- Phreesia patient communication/check -in system experience is required
- Experience scheduling and checking in patients in a medical office
- Experience verifying patient demographics and insurance information
- Experience answering phones and handling patient questions professionally
- Ability to multitask in a busy pediatric medical office
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
