We are currently seeking a Patient Care Assistant (PCA) to join our Sleepy Hollow (located in Falls Church) team. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for individuals interested in pursuing a career in healthcare. We are seeking candidates interested in starting during August and/or September. New Hire Orientation All new employees are required to attend New Hire Orientation , which takes place during the first week of employment on Monday & Tuesday | 9:00 AM-4:00 PM. Essential Responsibilities Welcome patients and families while creating a positive, caring experience. Escort patients to exam rooms, obtain patient histories, measure vital signs, and accurately document information within the electronic medical record. Assist with patient check‑in and check‑out, including scheduling appointments and verifying demographic and insurance information as needed. Prepare, clean, stock, and maintain examination rooms and clinical equipment while following infection prevention and sterilization procedures. Maintain patient records and protected health information in accordance with HIPAA requirements. Communicate professionally and compassionately with patients, families, providers, and coworkers. Support daily practice operations through administrative projects and other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. At this time we are not accepting high school students. Enrollment in a healthcare‑related degree program is strongly preferred. Previous patient experience/customer service experience is preferred but not required. Ability to meet Capital Area Pediatrics' immunization and health screening requirements. Basic knowledge of HIPAA and OSHA guidelines is preferred. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team. Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail. Ability to multitask and remain composed in a fast‑paced clinical environment. Professional, compassionate, and patient-centered approach to care.
