Job Description
The Production Technician sets up and operates machinery and equipment to perform light to routine processing operations in support of part and finished goods production. This role ensures all work meets established tolerance and quality standards, maintains accurate records, and contributes actively to team meetings and problem-solving initiatives. The Production Technician also supports planning and scheduling activities, trains other manufacturing personnel on products and processes, and performs related duties as needed to keep production running smoothly.
Pay: $21/hr + overtime available
Shift: 7:30am - 6:00pm, Monday - Thursday (soon to be 9:00am - 7:30pm, Monday - Thursday)

The environment includes production machinery, mixing equipment, and monitoring instruments such as gauges and dials. The facility emphasizes orderliness and consistent processes, with a focus on maintaining high quality and safety standards throughout operations. The role involves regular interaction with team members in a collaborative setting and includes some heavy lifting as part of day-to-day production tasks.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.

Responsibilities
- Set up machinery and equipment to perform light and routine processing operations for the production of parts and finished goods.
- Operate production equipment safely and efficiently while following established procedures and work instructions.
- Ensure all work meets established tolerance, quality, and safety standards throughout the production process.
- Monitor machines and equipment during operation to confirm proper performance and identify issues early.
- Perform basic data entry to record production information, quality checks, and equipment-related data accurately and on time.
- Maintain and keep appropriate records related to production activities, quality results, and equipment usage.
- Participate actively in group meetings and team-based problem-solving activities to improve processes and resolve production issues.
- Assist in providing input to work planning and scheduling to support efficient use of equipment and resources.
- Train other manufacturing personnel in product requirements, production processes, and quality-related aspects of the job.
- Perform mixing and related tasks as needed to support production requirements.
- Handle heavy lifting tasks safely, including lifting up to 50 lbs as required by production activities.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on equipment when needed and communicate maintenance needs promptly.
- Carry out other related duties as assigned to support overall production goals and continuous improvement.
- Prior experience in a production, manufacturing, or general machine operation environment.
- Comfort working with light to routine processing operations in a structured production setting.
- Ability to train and support other manufacturing personnel on products, processes, and quality expectations.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to meeting quality standards and tolerances.
- Willingness to participate in team meetings and group problem-solving initiatives.
- Interest in contributing ideas to improve work planning, scheduling, and overall production efficiency.
