Job Summary and Qualifications

A Lead Paramedic at HCA Healthcare (often in critical care transport or emergency departments) functions as a senior clinician and team lead, managing patient care, supervising staff, and handling equipment. They provide advanced life support, conduct inter-facility transport, precept new employees, and maintain compliance with protocols.

Required Qualifications (Typical HCA Florida)

• Licensure: Current Florida Paramedic license.

• Experience: At least 1-2 years of experience as a field paramedic or in a hospital setting.

• Certifications: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required or obtained within 30-90 days.

• Driving: Valid driver's license with a safe driving record (typically required for transport roles)

HCA Florida Palms West Hospital is a 204-bed facility in Palm Beach County. We offer preventative and elective programs and surgeries. We are an Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) Primary Stroke Center. HCA Florida Palms West Hospital has emergency services, a dedicated New Life Center and a Level II NICU.
