The shift is from 7 PM to 7 AM, including weekdays and some weekends. The therapist will float as needed to meet facility requirements. The position requires critical care and general care experience with both adult and pediatric patients. Candidates should possess a minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience. National certifications required include ACLS, PALS, and NALS for pediatric care. BLS certification is mandatory. This position does not require on-call duty. Floating within the scope to meet facility needs is expected. Candidates may be required to travel to nearby facilities as needed. Block scheduling accommodations may be considered but are not guaranteed. A fit test using an approved mask is required prior to employment. Candidates should have a history of providing care in a critical care environment. Availability to submit requests for time off must be done two weeks in advance for review. Compliance with vaccination policies, including flu vaccination with exemption requirements, is expected for employment. All candidates must submit required documentation and references during the application process. Experience with charting in any community hospital system is preferred. The position involves working in a fast-paced environment with interdisciplinary support. Candidates will work with various respiratory equipment and procedures. Responsibilities include patient assessment and management of respiratory conditions. Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in troubleshooting high-pressure alarms and weaning from mechanical ventilation. This role may involve direct patient interaction and care delivery.
