RN Team Coordinator-Emergency Department

The STC is responsible for providing advanced clinical leadership and clinical outcomes with the ongoing management of patients by facilitating operations, improving system processes, and using of evidence-based patient care. This is facilitated by 1) the management of the delivery of quality patient care and the facilitation of patient flow to internal and external resources; 2) the facilitation of efficient operations to support the delivery of patient care; 3) identify and recommend unit-based initiatives to promote patient safety and quality; 4) the ongoing management of regulatory and organizational compliance requirements. Responsibilities

• Clinical and Service Excellence
• Collaborates with clinical nurses, assuring patient care across the continuum
• Clinical Leadership
• Evaluates ED volume, patients' status, staffing needs and operational requirements as a resource to the charge nurse and flow coordinator
• Clinical Outcomes/Reduction and Elimination of Adverse Events
• Supports ongoing Joint Commission readiness preparation of staff and departmental operations.

Qualifications

BSN required with master's preferred

Minimum 3-5 years experience in assigned area of clinical specialization required.

Licensed and a currently registered nurse in the State of Connecticut. CEN specialty certification required or with one (1) year of position

Requires prolonged standing; walking; use of sight, hearing and touch; moving/lifting patients of varying weights.

Additional Information

Clinical Lead role. Three 12 hour shifts with 4 hours of admin time. Emergency RN experience required.
