Job Description
The Licensed Optician plays a vital role within a medium-sized team (4-7 members), reporting directly to the Optical Manager. This position involves working closely with both regular and walk-in members, utilizing a combination of manual and digital tools to ensure precise eyewear fitting and prescription accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Assist members in frame selection tailored to their needs and style
- Dispense lenses accurately based on prescriptions
- Conduct member consultations to clarify vision needs and preferences
- Verify prescriptions for accuracy and appropriateness
- Perform fitting adjustments to ensure comfort and proper alignment
- Manage inventory and process eyewear orders efficiently
- Ensure compliance with all relevant optical regulations and standards
- Educate members on eyewear care and product options
Preferred Qualifications
- Licensed Optician REQUIRED
- 1+ years of experience in opticianry
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proficient in eyewear fitting and prescription lens interpretation
- Strong member service and communication skills
- Experienced in optical dispensing and inventory management
- Detail-oriented with excellent attention to detail
