Territory Manager - Northeast Region

Territory Manager – Northeast Region Emery Jensen Distribution, a subsidiary of Ace Hardware Corporation, distributes hardline products to independent Pro Lumber, Paint, Hardware, and e‑retail customer segments. We are looking for a Territory Manager who will drive profitable sales growth with current and new customers across the Northeast Region. Responsibilities Develop and execute a strategic sales plan that increases the Emery Jensen customer base within a defined geographic territory. Build and maintain strong relationships with owners and key decision makers, visiting core customers at least every 30 days. Organize and prioritize weekly customer sales routes and calls to meet company goals. Enter leads, new business opportunities, prospects, and core store visits into Salesforce each Friday at noon. Secure 1–2 prospect visits per week in accordance with the 2023 WIG document. Complete an average of 8–10 store visits weekly. Represent Emery Jensen professionally and ethically in all day‑to‑day activities. Communicate successes and challenges to the Leadership Team to gain insight and support. Collaborate with the Sales Support Team, Care Center, and other internal partners to resolve customer issues promptly. Share ideas and sales successes with the Emery Jensen team to help achieve objectives. Exercise sound judgment regarding expenses such as travel and entertainment. Qualifications Motivated self‑starter with a solutions‑based focus on customer needs. 5+ years of B2B sales experience (preferred). Hardware sales and pro lumber experience is a plus. Excellent listening, negotiating, verbal, and written communication skills. Strong strategic thinking with the ability to develop, implement, and achieve a sales growth plan. Proven ability to manage multiple projects and opportunities simultaneously. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Extensive travel required, including overnight travel. Valid driver’s license and good driving record. BA/BS degree or equivalent preferred. Essential Functions Valid driver’s license and good driving record. Road warrior: travel by plane or car at least 3 days per week. Occasional lifting or moving of up to 50 pounds. Physical requirements include standing, walking, sitting, climbing a ladder, and using hands and arms for handling or seeing close and distance vision tasks. Work Authorization This position is not eligible for employment visa sponsorship at this time or in the future. Compensation $80,000 - $90,000 per year.
