Transfer Agent - Per Diem - Varies - Mobile Health

Job Title

Responsible to assist Critical Care Transfer Nurses in providing safe, efficient, and legal coordination of patient transfers between acute care facilities in a fast-paced, 24/7 call center environment.

Job Description

Answer incoming calls in a timely and professional manner. Convey accurate messages to RNs in a timely manner. Obtain information to complete an initial intake. Make calls to sending/receiving facilities to request/collect face sheets and demographics. Send/Received faxes & email. Use a variety of office equipment. Call and arrange the correct mode of transports for patients. Highly proficient in data entry and typing skills. Prepare various reports, case audits, and other duties as assigned. Assist with training of new hires.

Qualifications

Required:

• High school Diploma
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Highly proficient in typing with accuracy in data entry

Preferred:

• Associates or Bachelors Preferred.
• Call center experience or the equivalent working in a high call volume environment

About the Team

Atlantic Mobile Health is a non-profit corporation dedicated to providing the finest air and ground medical transportation services. We offer immediate and emergent response to municipalities and facilities, as well as non-emergency transportation for patients who need stretcher transportation. The MICU is an emergency response unit that augments the basic life-support therapies provided by local first aid squads and fire departments. Our Air and Ground teams provide some of the most advanced care available for scene emergencies and interfacility transport for our most complex and critical patients. The Patient Transfer Center offers a time-saving service for doctors and staff at any hospital who wish to consult with a specialist or initiate a patient transfer into any Atlantic Health Medical Center. The Atlantic Training Center is one of New Jersey's largest providers of emergency medical education, which also offers CPR and First Aid training to community groups, businesses, and the general public.
