The Service Advisor will be the primary point of contact between our customers and technicians. You will be responsible for greeting customers, understanding their vehicle concerns, preparing repair estimates, explaining recommended repairs, obtaining customer approvals, and keeping customers updated throughout the repair process. The ideal candidate is professional, organized, customer-focused, and comfortable with automotive repair terminology. You should also have strong sales and communication skills and be able to confidently explain repairs and maintenance recommendations to customers. Our goal is to provide excellent customer service while helping customers properly maintain and repair their vehicles. Responsibilities Greet customers professionally and provide excellent customer service Listen to customer concerns and accurately document vehicle problems Create and manage repair orders Prepare repair estimates for parts and labor Explain recommended repairs and maintenance to customers in an easy-to-understand manner Obtain customer authorization before repairs are performed Communicate with technicians regarding vehicle diagnosis and repair status Keep customers updated throughout the repair process Recommend necessary maintenance and repairs based on technician inspections Schedule customer appointments and manage the daily repair schedule Follow up with customers regarding estimates, declined repairs, and completed services Order or coordinate parts when necessary Review completed repair orders before customer pickup Process customer payments and invoices Maintain accurate customer and vehicle records Handle customer questions and concerns professionally Help maintain a clean, organized, and professional front office Build long-term customer relationships and encourage repeat business Help the shop meet daily and monthly sales goals Provide excellent customer service from vehicle drop-off through final delivery Qualifications Previous automotive Service Advisor experience preferred Automotive repair shop experience strongly preferredStrong understanding of automotive repairs and maintenance Excellent customer service and communication skills Strong sales and closing ability Ability to explain mechanical repairs clearly to customers Professional appearance and attitude Strong organizational and multitasking skills Comfortable working in a fast-paced repair shop Basic computer skills Experience with automotive shop management software is a plus Valid driver's license High school diploma or GED preferred Preferred Experience Experience with any of the following is a plus: AutoLeap Tekmetric Shop-Ware Mitchell 1 Identifix Alldata Tire and wheel sales Automotive financing programs Parts ordering Automotive repair estimating What We Are Looking For We are looking for someone who can sell, communicate, organize, and take care of customers.
